Christmas Message 2009
“I know we can all get a bit stressed by how busy the run up to Christmas can be, but for me and I hope for you too, it is a time of year which holds out the chance of spending some time with family, friends and those we love. As we look back on 2009 and forward to the New Year, I want to thank everyone whose work makes East Renfrewshire such a good place to live particularly those who work in our public services, in our schools and hospitals, in local government and the police.
I want to say too how much of a privilege it is to represent East Renfrewshire in the Scottish Parliament and to be given the opportunity to stand up for local people in their time of need. For those who have had a good year, or those for whom life has become more challenging, I hope 2010 brings health and happiness. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you.”
